Well I waited until year end hoping to take advantage of any incentives, luckily there were some. Just not on Lariat. I traded in my 2019 F250 in on the Ranger, so of course got beat up on that. Gas engine Superduties depreciate badly in the first year I un-happily discovered. Payments will drop near 400/month and it got 12 mpg so the Ranger will help a lot. Offset sales tax with trade-in also.

So I just picked up a new ranger a couple weeks ago and the halogens were killing me coming from a vehicle with HIDs.

I first bought Hikari LED bulbs but the cooling fans made it so you couldn't close the dust covers which bothered me tremendously.

Just saw these as a new listing on amazon so I ordered them and they not only fit perfectly allowing you to close the dust covers but they have the resistors built in so they don't cause any issues and the beam pattern and brightness are absolutely amazing.

For the low beams and fog lights

H11 LED Headlight Bulbs Mini Sized 80W 16,000LM Per Pair High Bright, AUXITO H11/H8/H9 Headlight LED Bulb Conversion Kit with Cooling Fan, 6500K Xenon White, Pack of 2 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WD6G42D/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_yl-MDb6MBRN0R

And for the high beams

9005 LED Headlight Bulbs Mini Sized CanBus Ready 80W 16,000LM/Pair Extremely Bright, AUXITO 9005(HB3) Headlight LED Bulb Conversion Kit, 6500K Xenon White, Pack of 2 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WCSJQYC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Xl-MDb998C5DN

You will not be disappointed with these bulbs I know I'm not.
Thanks for these links! Went ahead and purchased, will install soonest.

Regards

Yes, they do fit. I have those bulbs as well. :like:
Can I ask how long you have had these installed and if you've had any issues? I want to replace the headlights and fog lights, but seem to keep finding mixed reviews on the whole Plug-n-Play claims.

I have the same Auxito bulbs as high beams, and also different plug-and-play LEDs for fogs too, and I haven't experienced any issues with the plug-and-play aspect. I mean, you basically just unplug the halogens and plug in the LEDs, can't see what issues there may be with that process. Maybe plugging it in rotated 180deg, but if that happens just unplug, flip it, and try again. Plus there are tabs to help align them correctly. I've had mine for over a month now and had no issues at all.

My only thought has been that these Auxitos are a little bright for low beams. But that's just my personal preference and opinion. Obviously they work great for others.

Well, had a bulb failure tonight. Not even a week after installing these. Luckily I had the forethought to keep my stock bulbs in the truck so swapping back was no big deal on the side of the road. I'm hoping I'll be able to return these because I know the fans cleared and we're running properly.

Shoot. I wish I had seen the Auxito recommendations before everyone went out and bought them. One of our members on our Tacoma forum has done a lot of testing, and the headlight thread in general (over 100 pages now) along with a lot of time in doing other research has really illuminated (hee) the facts pertaining to drop-in LED options.

For starters, the cooling on the Auxito is inadequate, as indicated by @PNW_Ranger87. Also, while they look bright, the beam focus is pretty bad so they don't have a very good throw. In fact, the down-road light may be quite a bit dimmer than even the stock bulbs. This is because the emitter is quite a bit larger than the tungsten filament in a halogen bulb your headlight was designed around. If I had to guess, the cheap components in that bulb probably played a part in that failure as well. That doesn't look like a high quality PCB.

That said, I've had the Hikari Ultra in my Tacoma for at least a few months now. They have been the best performing LED bulb in all our Tacoma tests so far. I have a Nineo Gen2 in my bike (1999 Blackbird), which is a pretty rough setting for a fan equipped LED. It's not as focused as the Hikari Ultra, but it's still very good. Both of them have noticeable fan noise when the vehicle is off, but a running engine easily drowns that out. I can't vouch for their fitment in a Ranger, but I would recommend either one without hesitation pending fitment.

As a good cheap alternative light upgrade, assuming the low beam has a glare cap built in to the headlight bucket, you can use a standard $7 Philips H9 bulb. It should fit in the H11 housing. All you need to do if I remember correctly, is trim a tab in the H9 plug to fit in your factory plug It doesn't last quite as long (typically about 2 years usable life), but it's a massive improvement in light output. If you find yourself in extreme winter conditions frequently, it might be worth it to stick with halogen since LEDs aren't as good at preventing iced-over headlights.

This is a big reason I haven't swapped out my low beams yet. I'm afraid they won't get warm enough to melt the ice/snow off the headlight while driving long distances through snow storms.

I could not disagree more. I have the Auxitos installed for 3 months now and I run them all day and night in a very warn SoFla climate. No cooling issues. No failures. The light output throw and pattern is superior to the halogens. You said that the "down-road light may be quite a bit dimmer than even stock bulbs." How do you come to this conclusion? I have real world experience with these bulbs and "dimmer than stock halogens" is just patently false.

I was in the middle of replying to this and it disappeared...

Well, in any case, it's my mistake on disputing the brightness. It was the Beamtech bulb I was thinking of. However, I can tell you as a matter of science that the beam pattern is absolutely not superior to halogen. The light output may be bright enough to compensate so there is still more light down road, though. I believe that is the case with most LEDs that test better than stock. There are NO LEDs that have an emitter small enough to match the focus of a halogen (yet). There are some like the Hikari Ultra that are closer than others. Those Auxito bulbs aren't close, but they might be so bright that focus doesn't matter much. Without seeing a test, I can only take your word, and assume that they are as bright as you say they are. If that's the case, the poor heatsink design becomes even more of an issue, and would absolutely explain why they look so cooked in @PNW_Ranger87's photos.

Another problem with a loss in focus is glare. Depending on your driving situation, glare may or may not be a major factor. I spend 99% of my driving on well lit, hilly streets, so a small change in the cutoff isn't going to matter. If you drive on dark, flat roads a lot, a small change in your cutoff may piss off a lot of people and cause unsafe driving conditions. That's the part of the Headlight Revolution videos that pisses me off. They promote and sell headlights based on a close range, max lux test. People are spending upwards of $200 on certain bulbs that may be throwing retina searing demon semen into the eyes of oncoming traffic. Dont get me wrong, the GTR Ultra 2 looks solid, as does the SV4, but I doubt they're worth their price when compared to many, much cheaper options.
