Since I have upgraded both the low beams and fog lights in the Ranger, my wife has been reporting that she is getting flashed by other drivers. I checked the aim of the headlights before and after as well as on the fog lights. The headlights I brought down a touch but I thought that the fogs looked OK. I am guessing that the fog lights are the problem and was wondering if it was possible to adjust the aim on them. I was also thinking about putting a vinyl dot right in the middle of the lens to block the glare of the light directly from the bulb itself. Short of returning to stock for the meantime, is there anything else I'm missing? I don't really want to be a hazard on the road.

is it foggy?
I'm not even going to debate this. Foggy is not the point. I'm rural and the deer population is rather abundant.

Back on topic ... I found the instructions in the shop manual. Aiming IS possible. Now I just need to verify they are aimed correctly.

Can you post a photo of the manual?

Since adding LED fogs I have not been flashed. I could see low beam LED’s being an issue.

LED fogs do help with seeing objects, even without fog.

Share? Since my wife has stopped using the fog lights, she hasn't reported anyone flashing her. Also, when I installed the bulbs in the low beams, I adjusted them down a touch to put the beam back where the halogens were ( it was a very slight adjustment ). In my case, I think its a difference in shielded vs unshielded housings and the fog lights are not. Some led's have a sort of shield on the end of the bulb, mine do not and I think this is causing some of the issue.

BTW, I still haven't found a piece of flat level ground to check the beams. Joys of rural living.

Share was for instructions on adjusting fogs as you stated.
My fogs have flat front and project left and right as reflectors are designed to receive this way.

I might have to get bulbs that are designed like that. If I ever get a few minutes and my wife let's me play with the truck!

Mine do! And it turns out that the aim on mine were just fine, even with LEDs. The headlights, on the other hand, needed to be turned down quite a bit.
