I like these and can't tell if you have the stainless step. That is what I'd like but find the price difference of up to $130 more. And I'm wondering if my wife will notice them - I was a fool to think she wouldn't notice my Borla cat backBeen really please with the Westin HDX series. But like previously mentioned being a SC limits the choices.
Those look really good in the photo you posted.I went with the Go Rhino Dominator DSS but I specifically wanted a small step that tucked nice and tight up to the rocker.
I have the Stainless HDX Steps on my Ranger. Had them powder coated to match the sport trim. The stainless foot plates are what sold me. Inevitably, with use, they get a bit scuffed up and surface scratches. I simply remove them (4-stainless steel bolts) and use a ScotchBright/abrasive Ball 180grit and renew the brushed finish. In addition, the stainless steps compliment the stainless polished tips on my MagnaFlow exhaust too! Got the HDX Steps from Desert Rat.com.... best price I found and no tax.I like these and can't tell if you have the stainless step. These are all I have for photos at the moment, hopefully they help. They definitely do not stick out as far as the tires. I think if they were out about a 1/2” to 3/4” further they would be perfect. I have some 1/2” flat bar that I may use to space them out in the spring! Those look really good in the photo you posted.
Any chance you could post up a photo of the side of your truck... from a distance? One of the main reasons I'm wanting running boards is so the frame isn't so visible on the truck... but additionally aid in accessing the front tie down hooks in the bed.
Also.... how far out do they stick out from the truck.... in other words if you were to run a string from the front tire to the back tire, the running boards don't stick out past the string do they?
Thanks. That helps, much appreciated! These are all I have for photos at the moment .....
Bolted to the body?We just finished our first sample of new our side steps. Made in America with 13 gauge steel piping to handle slamming against boulders when rock crawling, and installs with just 6 bolts into existing factory holes. Powder coated in wrinkle black.
Yes. No drilling required, as it screws into the same holes the factory running boards use.Bolted to the body?

Hmm.... if you're going to state it holds up to "slamming against boulders when rock crawling" they should be attached to the frame... and not the sheet metal floor board of the truck.Yes. No drilling required, as it screws into the same holes the factory running boards use.
They are side steps, not rock sliders. Slamming against bolders is more an overstatement to express that they’re made of high strength steel, and not cheap metal that’ll bend.Hmm.... if you're going to state it holds up to "slamming against boulders when rock crawling" they should be attached to the frame... and not the sheet metal floor board of the truck.
High strength steel isn't even an accurate statement. In reality what you are welding on is mild steel. They are side steps, not rock sliders. Slamming against bolders is more an overstatement to express that they’re made of high strength steel, and not cheap metal that’ll bend.
