So like an idiot, I was screwing around with my touch up pen from ford and I accidentally spilled some clearcoat on the lariat "leather" seats. Any suggestions to get it off without ruining the seat? If I wasn't in class I would try to clean it right now...ugh I question some of the things I do.

Hi Nick,

Terribly sorry to hear of your plight. I hope someone with more experience in these matters can offer advice. What ever solvent the paint uses would likely dissolve the clear coat, but seat damage would likely be the result. Good Luck!

I almost spilled my touch-up pen all over my kitchen counter. I'm not crazy about how they're made. If you don't know what to expect, it's really easy to open the wrong side.

That's exactly what I did. I should've known better being I used the motorcraft one before

post pics so we can all collectively feel your pain
Well I didn't get any pictures but I was able to get it off. Scraped it with the nail of my finger and some elbow grease with Meguiars Leather cleaner. Good as new!

Well I was able to get it out with some leather cleaner and scraping it with my fingernail. It was only a small spot, probably no bigger than 1/4 inch. Lesson learned: Don't play with touch up paint inside the truck

You guys are talking like a touch up pen came with the truck. Did it or did you all just happen to buy one?

I bought mine after I got my first rock chip and was so eager to open it, that I happened to open the clearcoat portion upside down. I believe I paid $18 and change after tax from my dealer.

How is the Dr. Color Chip? I never used it but heard good reviews about it.
I like it alot. Price is good for what you get. Color match is spot on.

The key difference that sets them apart from touch up pens is the second step in the process where after it has been touched up you use the second bottle of liquid to buff the excess away

hate to say it but there's no walking that 'Oops' back. :(
at this point your most likely least expensive is a seat cover...
