I followed your instructions, worked out greatNope, it was quite easy. I started up at the overhead console and went between the windshield and headliner which is flexible enough to put a couple fingers under to stuff the wire in. Then at the a pillar I popped back the plastic just an inch or so at the top and went across avoiding any curtain airbags. I then pulled the rubber door seal down from the a pillar to the kick panel by the fuse box and routed the wire down. I also popped open the kick panel and door sill plastic for some extra room to route the wire. Then opened the panel under the steering wheel and got the wire into the fuse box with the add a circuit. Zip tie where you like and then push door seal back in being sure to keep the wire tucked in all the way.
Did you have to pop the fascia off or can you get back there another way? The oem wiring you just tucked aside to run your own?Didn’t see a need for two 12V outlets and 2 USB ports in the front.
Correct, I popped the fascia off and there was plenty of room to tuck the OEM connector behind it.Did you have to pop the fascia off or can you get back there another way? The oem wiring you just tucked aside to run your own?
Link to purchase? If you go with a SwitchPros unit, it fits perfectly between the 12v plugs and takes up no additional space. (Photo from before I labeled everything right after install).

They just released one for our rangers too, fits snug in the fascia , very cool!https://store.switchpros.com/sp-9100-switch-panel-power-system/
Not affiliated with them in any way, there are plenty of good switch controller units out there, just a fan of this one and works great for me so far (lots of capabilities).
Haha I assume that basically just hides the wires and makes it look a tiny bit cleaner with the 12v. May make install a tiny bit easier too by corralling wiring. But yeah I put the panel down there a year ago right when I got the truck and just tied the wiring up and haven't had any issues with anything catching. They just released one for our rangers too, fits snug in the fascia , very cool!
Curious how did you feed the switch harness through the firewall?Didn’t see a need for two 12V outlets and 2 USB ports in the front.
Interested!I’m working on a 3D printed 3 switch pod that clips or mounts thru the holes on the surface between the 12 volt sockets. You can mount a basic 3 switch pod easily as shown in the photos, I’m just trying to round out some lines with a slightly styled custom piece.
I’ll share the files when done. Made some progress... need to tweak the top mounting surface angle and space the switches a mm more apart. This is just a half depth print with white PLA I had lying around.Interested!
