Good Morning. For the folks that have changed from your factory tire size, if you have corrected the speedometer/odometer for the new tire size, how have you done it. Searched everywhere and can't find a great answer.

Thanks!

Has anyone come up with anything else in the last month? If the Forscan way causes a code I’d prefer to do it a different way. I’m putting larger tires on next week and would like to adjust the speedometer/odometer accordingly.

Forscan! Worked great no codes or check engine light.

How did you know about the code if there was no CEL? Just by scanning for codes it showed up?
Yeah, you can see it in FORScan - the codes it has. I cleared it a couple of times and every time it came back almost immediately after restarting the truck. It doesn't seem to cause any issues, but it is there. I forget what the code was, but it doesn't trigger the CEL.

Just to verify - you followed the steps in this thread:

If so, I'm not sure what I could have done wrong, but my brother's truck has that code - no CEL, but a weird code that doesn't seem to cause any issues.

I just changed the number in forscan and it worked... I watched a couple videos on YouTube and they said I might get a code but I never did.

With the size you're going up to (same as mine) it's not off by much. From 25-50 mph it's only off 1-1.5 mph and at 75 I think it was 2.5? Being as OCD as I am I thought it would bother me but it's not off enough to go out and change it. Beside everyone here drives 10+ mph over the speed limit anyways.

For me it's not so much the speed being off as it is the odometer being off. Plus sized tires especially since you're traveling further than indicated. I know it's really not that much but over time it definitely adds up. Yes, I am that OCD. :headbang:
