I have a lift with over-sized tires which is throwing off my speedometer, odometer, and fuel economy calculations. Whats the easiest/best tuner to correct this issue?

I don't have too much knowledge on what Forscan can do with the Ranger but I believe that's going to be your best bet. As far as I know the only option with Forscan is that you can toggle between factory tire sizes. That's how it was with the Focus I had. I don't believe you can enter an OD and just have it calibrate to that size. I'm hoping someone weighs in on this some more because I definitely plan on going up in tire size as well and I'm pretty picky about my odometer/speedometer. :sunglasses:

I thought I read a post saying the dealer can adjust for tire sizes?
I seem to think I’ve heard that too. Maybe they change it in a similar way to how does?

I have reached out to three different dealers and all told me they could get it close but not on point. It's a little annoying since I had the dealership install the lift, wheels and tires.

My dealer couldn’t do it either. I downloaded my tune from Livernois and they are still working on it as well. The Livernois tech said the only way to do it is through Forscan or with Hypertech’s calibration device for $229. I might find a used laptop for that much just to use for forscan.

The dealers can only swap between the wheel sizes that are available from the factory. They can't enter a custom size. If you want to correct your speedo, you'll have to do it through an aftermarket tuner or Forscan.

+1 for Hypertech. Used one on my F150 w/35's and I got the speedo dead on at every speed from 5-90mph, using a GPS to verify speed.

Is there any reason to use Hypertech over Forscan or the other way around? Any downside to one or the other?

I have the Hypertech because the shop the dealer uses that installed my lift and wheels and throws it into their “package.” I can choose any wheel size I want and using a speedometer app on my phone, it is within 2MPH at 70MPH.

Thanks. I’m thinking the Forscan way may be more accurate than that from what I’ve read.
