Wrangler Duratrac 255/75R17. Definitely not a "skinny" tire on this truck. At 30 psi they are wider than advertised. I'll air them up for every day use. No clearance issues at all. My truck is not lifted. Would have went 255/80 but all tires in that size were E rated and I rarely tow. C rated tires ride much better. These are actually load rated better than the stock Hankooks anyway. Ride seems unchanged and no road noise that I notice. Used them to climb a 21% packed grade without any slippage. Very happy so far.

They will give you some noise as they age and they do like to check rocks,, but I ran a set on my frontier before I traded for the Ranger and found them to be a quite good all around tire after years of shunning goodyears..really liked them in the snow.

Looks good! I had a set of them in 33x12.50 on my old Level II. Definitely got noisier once I had some miles on them but totally worth it for the look and traction they provide.

Looks good! I have a Discount Tire version of those on my rig and have been liking them a lot. Pretty quiet for an aggressive all terrain tire.

Can you take some L/R Lock photos?

255/75/17 was exactly what I was looking to upgrade my tires to but two things I was concerned with were:

1. Offset (looks like they're ok on the stock 55mm offset)
2. Lock clearance with the crash bar.

I removed the plastic covers and it gained a bit of clearance.

How did you remove the plastic section? Is it permanent or can it be reversed?
There are just two plastic screws holding the covers on. They are just pointless dress up pieces.

Preliminary results for mileage are disheartening to say the least. With stock tires I got 22.6 at 80 mph but with these tires it dropped to 20.1 at 80 mph. Since the larger tires mess with the odometer I just had to trust Google maps for the distance. I expected some loss but 2.5 is quite significant. Oh well, that's the price we pay for good off-road traction.

I think the issue is 80 mph,you are into boost at that rpm. I have 4x2 and it will drop off mpg at 65 mph

Meh. Not going to drive 65 in an 80 zone. Lol Just updating my experience with these tires.

Another tire update. These tires are HORRIBLE in the rain. Even with just a bit of throttle these will break loose. I suspect it's just a harder compound and lack of rear end weight but I have to be very careful in the rain. Gonna have to find some sand bags for the winter.
