Thanks for that information. Will probably just try the Scosche Magic Mount Pro from Costco and see if there's a place on the console or dash that works.

Your phone will hook up wireless using Bluetooth. The port is for charging the phone. Then you can call or answer with truck controls, and I think that you can voice answer and call but, I havent got that far.

Bought this for about $10 on Amazon and a .5m Apple cord fits perfectly. Used a similar mount in my last truck without any issues. Simple, cheap, and it works well.

That's quite a reach, what's the use that far from the driver?

I think i'm gonna look at wiring a socket up to the tray on top of the dash maybe. I think that would be more convenient when using Android Auto anyway.

I don't use my phone while driving, other than having it linked up to SYNC. Still easily within reach when I get in/out of the truck and not in the way of any controls, vents, etc while it is stored there.

I have the Weathertech cup phone holder that I brought over from my F150 but it sits back too far. Cup holders are on the side...not in the front like my F150 was.

Does anyone have another option that puts the phone more in front of you?

No drilling preferred.

Looks good. Where did you put it.
I have an S8+ w/case so it's a heavy phone. It might move just a big if you hit a very hard bump but I have a slightly thinner case and it's rock solid with that one. Since I have wireless charging, I had to move the stick-on round metal plate as low as possible otherwise it would interfere with charging when I put on my wireless charging stands in the house.

Thank,I'm going to try this one. I have an
iPhone 8+ and every vent holder I've tried falls off because the phone is to heavy. I have a thin Otterbox commuter case and the video on Amazon shows that you can attach the magnetic part on the inside of your case too which is nice.
