I love the rugged look of the new Gladiator but would never buy one for many reasons.

Gladiators are hideous imo but that Ranger in the first post looks badass.

The Gladiator platform and design just doesn’t do anything for me. Maybe it would be different if I were a serious off-roader, but I’m not. If I’m going to spend 40k or more on a vehicle, I want it to look and feel like some serious engineering went into it. The modern jeeps to me look to retro and unrefined inside and out and are trying to hold onto the older Jeep CJ-5 and CJ-7 heritage (which were bad-a$$). The fact that Jeep created a pickup by adding a box to the back of a wrangler looks like a complete afterthought or something they came up with as a joke then decided to run with it. I’m sure owners of the Gladiator love it, but I’m not a fan.

I built a Rubicon pickup for the hell of it. I like it but would never buy one.
Did add most but not all the options. $60,920.

If Jeep had actually come out with what they showed off back in 2015 or 16 they might have had something worth considering...

The Jeep Grand Cherokee is the only Jeep I would consider. The Gladiator is hideous and overpriced just like the Wranglers.
