Hey folks!

I know a lot of people here are doing lifts w/ bigger tires, but I just want to give that nose a bit of extra clearance. Right now I'm swinging back and forth between a 2" front 1" rear lift (which might look ridiculous on stock 275/75r17s) or a simple 1" lift up front. I like the FX4 suspension, even though it's a lot stiffer than my '13 Tacoma.

Anybody have any ideas/has anybody done a simple 1" lift up front. Not wanting to completely level so I can still carry a fair amount of weight without pointing the nose in the air.

Thanks!

I like to see this also, raise front 1 inch or lower rear 2 inches. I need to recheck but one of the level kits have a 2 part spacer for the front(maybe ready or rough country). Maybe just half of the kit could be used to get 1 inch front lift?

The Ready lift uses a spacer below & above the shock. Some are claiming it only lifted their truck 1.5".

eBay also has some 1/2" shims

Thanks Justin,It was Ready lift. The ebay alternative looks good, but I wonder if the spacer is 1/2 inch or does it lift 1/2 inch.A 1/2 spacer would probably lift it close to 1 inch. I will look into this further
I am assuming the eBay spacer lifts it 1/2". I'm guessing it's around 5/16" thick....

If you have the tools there are many on ebay from the overseas ranger, only issue is the inner center hole for the shock tophat is a bit too small, rest fits great. The aluminum is easily machined so if you want some other options and you or a buddy have the skills then it another route you can take.

I got a 1.5" kit from Malaysia without this knowledge and was able to make it work at home, if Id know before I could have easily cleaned it out on the lathe a work.

I think I have a thread on it somewhere here.

For what its worth, I am thinking about installing Eibach shocks with factory springs when I get my non-FX4 Ranger.
Mine will be run mostly on pavement, so I prefer a more controlled, non-bouncy ride.
The front set come with five circlip notches for locating the OEM spring perch.
These notches are at Zero Lift, +3/4", +1 1/2", +2 1/4" , and +3".
This might be an option for those who only want a mild leveling along with increased shock rebound control.

Installation instructions: https://eibach.com/us/pdf/233854

Here is some information on these shocks from Cerwin D. Vega:

"It got rid of a bunch of overly exaggerated motion in all directions. a set of fronts and rears came in right at $500."

Parts numbers:

2 ea; E60-35-048-01-01

2 ea: E60-35-048-01-10

I would like a 1.5" front, 1" rear and go with 265/70-17 tires (31.6" vs the stock 30.6"). The Eibach front strut shows adjustability from stock-3" front and 0-1" rear, the ones you showed above. I guess you use the stock springs? Which is fine. The Eibach strut/spring lift kit is a 3.0"+ front minimum lift which is to much for me. I have found the Eibachs for about $100/each front struts and rear shocks and the rear 1" block for $90. I think this would be a perfect factory off road look imo. I'm probably gonna do this with the tires next summer....Hopefully will get to see some pics before then.

I had a thought today about springs.
Iā€™m wondering if the front springs are the same on the 2wd and the 4wd. I would guess not but would need to compare part numbers to confirm.
IF the 4wd is a different spring itā€™s possible you could get a lift by swapping them. How much? Maybe an inch+?

With these Eibach shocks, the fronts will accommodate a 0" - 3" lift with factory springs, and 3" - 3 3/4" lift with Eibach springs
The rears will accommodate a 0" - 3" lift, but need a spacer or different springs to facilitate the actual lift.
* This information is for 4X4, I do not know about 2X4 *

I wanted something similar and ended up with SVC Leveling collars, they ended up about 1 3/4ā€-2ā€ higher in the front. It looks like the rake a stock truck would have.

That looks good. I just wonder if I'd prefer a better quality struts and rear shocks ( Eibachs?). I don't mind the stock rake as I tow and it levels out when loaded. What size tires?
