Been towing this back and forth from work to the gas station twice a day for nearly 2 weeks. The airend on my big 50hp IR compressor decided it didn't want turn any more.
Compared to when I towed this same type of compressor with my 15 Colorado, I will say it tows better with the Ranger. Having no trailer brake, braking is the same between the 2 trucks....shitty. I echo @RCMUSTANG sentiments about the brakes being soft. But if I tap them a few times before actually trying to stop, it's a lot better. In Tow Mode, the engine braking helps but I feel the brakes could be better. I have not tried to seat the brakes as suggested by someone else but I doubt it would make a difference. For the short distance I'm going and never exceeding 50mph, Tow Mode is just a waste of fuel.
