So I found the right fuse slot number 36 (auto dimming mirror, mirror adjustment) this slot is off completely when the vehicle isn’t powered on, and now my rocker switch panel isn’t on, when the truck is off!!!

I would have checked to see if there was room in the overhead console. That would have been slick.

Not much room. I tried to see if I could add one more garage remote and it's tight.

@PatrickM just an FYI, you should flip your add-a-fuse the other way, the way you currently have it installed, if the fuse pops the light switch will still get power as its on the hot leg of the fuse. :like:

This reminded me, I really wish the bed light had a light on the switch to let you know it's on.
The bed light on my Lariat is apparently on a timer. You can turn it on using the dash push switch, but pushing again or holding it down for a few seconds does not turn the bed light off.

Fuse 37 is a spare fuse but still ignition powered.

In the manual it actually says if drive over 3mph it will turn off.

Any guidance on how you got wires into the cab? I installed some pods on the font of mine but gave up while trying to figure out how to get access to the big grommet that the factory harness comes through; when I look through the engine bay, the a/c blower motor is in the way... I just want to run a wire for my switch!! Any pictures or guidance would be GREATLY appreciated!

I did this on my 2011 Ranger also. Alternative route instead of through the firewall.

Anyone tried tapping into the head light switch for power only when the lights are on? I don't want my switches illuminated all the time.

Forget the switch, it's CAN bus and there's nothing useful there for what you're trying to do. You could however splice into the wires right at the headlight/foglight. Those may require some care for the same CAN reasons though.
