Does anyone here have a good product or method of keeping gear from moving around in the bed? With a bed cover I’m using the bed to hold pelican cases and camping gear but need a way to keep it all in place without making it a 20 min tie and untie situation.

Thanks in advance!

I use Cargo Bars. Would be ideal for your situation. Several different models, but work pretty much the same. Hers an example:

Same here. This is the brand I use. Pretty sure both the full-size truck and compact truck one fits. I think the compact one is lighter(in a good way).

I was thinking of making something like this (for grocery bags). But, I think I will also get some cargo bars.

Cargo Bars and "Milk Crates" work wonders for that purpose!

If you are considering a bed extender at all that serves the grocery bag purpose well when it's not flipped out.

There are vertical slots formed into the bed, behind the wheel wells, that accommodate a 2x8. Cutting a board to the correct length to fit will be my first task, when I get my truck.

I use a "Cargo Bar but mot the one with the ratcheting handle, mine is the "Screw" type, I find it much easier to adjust and lock in especially if I use it near the cab. I also use a milk crate that the local super market was so kind as to leave out unattended...

+1 for a truck bed extender (I got the Amp Research one). When it's flipped to face in, it works great as a divider that helps keep smaller items in. Keeps propane tanks from rolling around, holds groceries in place, just wide enough to comfortably fit a golf bag, etc.

Cargo bar and a row of five gallon buckets. Easy to remove and put a waterproof top on buckets if I need the space
