Sounds good but I hope that there is no interior drone

May just be old....but a 4 will never sound good to me. Sounds like blender compared to a good old V8.

I will be looking for a performance exhaust that is not loud.

I don't think there is any way to make a 4 (or even a 6) sound as good as a V8. You can make them sound better, but it isn't the same at all.

Yeah I do think the exhaust sounds a little “rice” to me. Honda Civic style. Wish this thing had the v6

You can come to appreciate all the different exhaust notes. While I approve of the low growl of my ranger FOUR, I think that I prefer the sound of my tuned 850 Norton Commando TWIN, above all other automotive musicianship.

Well I’m going to put it one because it will look sweet! Also the sound still sounds better than stock!

I think this is the best sounding of the clips I've heard. I too wouldn't want a drone at cruising speed. Not that it is analogous but I had a Borla on my '02 Mustang DT and there was no appreciable drone. They make top quality stuff.

Sounds good. I've had a turbo back Borla exhaust on my Jetta for ages and been very happy with it. Think I will enjoy my Ranger stock for a bit.

True, a four cylinder will never sound like a big block V8. That is just something we need to get over and accept.

We just ordered one of these Borla exhausts for our new shop Ranger. We run Borla on one of our shop Raptors, our Tacoma TRD Pro and soon the Ranger. The video sounds pretty good, hoping it's a bit better in person. Will post feedback once we get it installed.

I'm old too but I love the sound of 4CYL...
But then we raced SCCA for 18years and discovered most roadrace cars are 4CYLs.
I ran a 2.3L turbo in my Pinto for a few years and it sounded great!
They all sound good 2,4,5, 6, 8, 10, 12, and 16!
Heck I even put a turbo on an RX7, sounded GREAT!

Here's a 2 CYL Subaru 360...(2stroke)
I had one of these and it was a RIOT!
925 pounds of "muscle" car!:):muscle::LOL:
