FedEx just delivered mine today from Rogue Off-Road.

Ordered June 14, arrived June 18.

Pix and instructions in photos below. These are the Air Design fender vents, licensed to Ford Accessories.

Stock vents pop right off. I used a plastic removal tool to overcome the five clips and one strip of double-sided tape. I pulled the stock vent up from the rear and it came off easily.

Vents are fully assembled as received. No cutting of sheet metal required to install as others have thought might be the case.

Instructions recommend painting the opening behind the vent. I'm not going to do that as my truck is Magnetic...it might as well be black in the hole already!

Waiting for the sun to come out this afternoon before installing. Instructions say to do it at 60 degrees or above. It's just barely 60 here in the Seattle area right now.

I think this will complement the Ranger Raptor knockoff grille installed earlier.

For the price of those, they should clip in nicely like the OEM pieces. Mounting them with double sided tape is kinda ghetto...

Air Vents Installed...

Temp hit 62 and I went crazy....

Follow the instructions. The Adhesive remover is a wet sponge inside the little package. There is a package for use with the left and right sides. Wipe it on around the opening carefully...it will drip down the side of the truck. DAMHIK. It leaves a little residue that comes off with "Goof Off" or something similar if you get it outside the mounting area. Let it dry...it doesn't take long.

Test fit the part first...then, as instructed, peel back a little of the red backing tape on each piece. Use a little bit of masking tape to hold the short red tape in place on the front side of the new vent. Press the new piece in place once you're sure you've got it lined up. Peel back the rest of the red tape while holding the new part in place.

Presto!!

For those worried about the use of double-sided tape to hold the new vent on....don't be. The clips holding the stock vent on took almost no pressure to pop off. There's now nearly two feet of 3M industrial tape holding the new vent on. It ain't going anywhere.

PS: While I was outside, I used a little bit of monofilament fishing line to take off the EcoBoost badge.

Looks good on what you are building. Thanks for letting us know that they actually are vents and not just decorative.

I just slapped a set of these bad boys on my ranger. way better than the original. I haven't tested the HP gains yet, but I'd bet it's substantial.

I think I paid $179 thru Levittown Ford. I gained at least 70 HP (in my mind). Personally, I love the way these look.
