What is the grade y'all are running? 87? 91? 93? I am running 87 and only avg 19.6 around town with approx 1400 on the clock. Haven't done a trip yet.

I run regular 87. In town trips will really kill mileage. As someone stated a while back, getting a 4000 lb truck going takes some gas. If you are getting 19.6 around town, that is pretty close to stated MPG. I have noticed mine is getting better as I get more miles on it too. I just read something somewhere saying the computer actually kept it a bit richer for the first 10k miles for break in. I guess we shall see.

I was hoping for a bit better mileage, but I'm not disappointed in what I've been getting - overall my average is a bit over 21.

87. Short trips around town will kill mileage. No reason to run 91 octane unless you need more power for towing/hauling. It might make the mileage go up a bit, but the price of the gas will go up more.

I've got 4000+ miles with 285/70-17 getting 22 mpg on highway but I'm pretty sure the reading's off due to the extra distance I'm traveling with the larger diameter. Can someone smarter than me calculate the approximate corrected mpg from factory 265 to 285?

about -3.4% in revolutions per mile.

Around town means different things. I live in a rural area with 1 red light and 2 sets of RR tracks. Seven miles north there is a city that has every red light set to stop you, I don't spend much time there but visit twice a week. I'm getting 21.6 on the computer of my Lariat with 1100 miles burning 93 oct.

Regular fuel on this tank, mixed driving.

My dash shows me around 22-23 normally and it is about the same highway and city for me. A little disappointed. When I fill up and do the actual math, it is normally always right about 20-21.

According to Fuelly, am getting 16.1 MPG over 3935 miles with 87 Octane.

I do roughly 75% city driving in a big urban city, so lots of stop/starts and short distances.

3000 miles, 22.1 average over all fill ups. that includes 150~ miles off road, 50 in 4x4.
