*Apologies for the jacked up subject, haha*
I took my Ranger out on some local trails I’ve driven countless times with my 2014 Tacoma double-cab with the Off-road package. Both trucks are basically set up the same way, leveling kit and similar size 265/70 tires. Long story short...ground clearance and approach/departure angles are basically the same, both trucks hit their rear receiver in the same trail sections, and the Ranger’s low-end torque made for better performance in the more difficult spots. I’d take either truck out on the trails without hesitation but the Range performs a touch better off-road in my opinion. We’ll see when deer season comes around this fall and the same trails get really nasty...I’ve had to have tractors pull the Tacoma out of some messy stuff and I plan to push the Ranger just as hard when it comes to getting to the good hunting spots.
