Driving in town, warning with alarm jingle appears 'Trailer attached'... about 10 seconds later, I can 'hear' a click sound over in passenger glovebox area, and 'Trailer detached' message appears. I DON'T have a trailer attached :-( Repeated about 7 times before I parked truck at store. Continued on journey home.
Anyone else have this occur?

Probably water in the module on the rear bumper. I'd open it, dry it out, and see why it's leaking. If it's not obviously open, I'd call the dealer and tell them what it's doing.

Mine doesn't report when there IS a trailer attached.
o_ONobody at Ford even knows if it should or not.
Oh well I do have a light on my Brake Controller.

It should... Bring a tester, and have them plug it into one on their lot.

I don't know how to conger up the trailer information.
I have the tow package and the Owner's manual implies that those messages are both relevant and present.
However, to this point it appears Ford has no one who can confirm or deny that the 2.3" Screen is provided with Trailer information.
I am confident that I will be told it is not when it does not appear, but I am not confident that the answer will be based on knowledge of the facts or just an easy way out.

Do you know any way to activate the feature?
I'm sure it should just appear when conditions are met.

This was the only procedure I found so far that seemed to activate the Tow package charge feature...Don't miss a step!!

Mine did the on/off message with no trailer attached a few times near the end of the winter when we were getting wet snow and freezing rain. Always seemed moisture related, so I coated things with dielectric grease and its been good since.

If you have the 2.3" screen...does it display the Trailer messages, such as "Trailer Connected" or " Trailer Disconnected"

For instance .. does it give you a "Trailer Connected" message when you cycle the ignition with the trailer connected?
Thank you in advance for your response!

This is what I get when the trailer is connected:
XL, factory tow, 2-wheel drive 101A package

I'm slowly learning more about the 2.3" screen.
Got the "trailer attached" thing figured out and the charge line.
Today I got a pleasant surprise...
I already knew about the Gear readout for a few seconds when you press the + button when in Drive.
Today I noticed that it continues to read the gear on the top line next to the compass until you press the button again, or cycle the ignition!

YUP I usually have that gear indicator displayed.

I do too, but when in drive mode (vs s) I also learned that pressing the (-) will start locking out gears and (+) will add them back. Just sharing in the event this was news to anyone else...

Right. So to "be safe"and NOT lock out any gears, always use the "+" to show your gears.
