We did try without them. It did rub. I'm glad though we only had to go with 1/4 inch. I didnt want the tires to stick out from the fenders that much.
Mind if I ask where it was rubbing, the body or knuckle/upper control arm? Doing this to my wife's truck this weekend. Thanks

It rubbed on the control arm without the 1/4" spacers

Awesome setup man! This exactly what I want to do with mine. I like the factory rims but I want a lift and the bigger tires.

Love the look, very nice!

Why do some people say spacers are bad? I had planned to run that same set-up but didn’t want to run spacers. Nitto also doesn’t make a 275, only 265 or 285. After seeing urs I want 285!

What’s the deal with spacers?

Talking to my guy who did my set up, he said with these smaller trucks, spacers weren't a big deal. I guess the more weight the more risk for tearing something up. I dont know.

Did you use extended wheel studs?

I ran spacers on my Wrangler with bigger tires. They were bigger - 1.5" and my ball joints wore out early (less than 30k miles). 1/4" is a lot smaller so maybe not as much stress

Would taking out or adjusting the crash bar solve the rubbing ?

Also can you give an update, how many miles, any issues, did you have to tighten any lug nuts ?

How big of a gas mileage hit did you take with the lift and those massive tires?

Not really sure but it’s nothing crazy. Maybe a mile or two.
