2019 Ranger Owners Manual -Replace the engine-mounted and frame-mounted fuel filters every 30k. I spoke to a service advisor who advised this is not the case. He checked with his parts department as well and they advised there are no fuel filters listed for the Ranger. Any comments on this? Why it may be listed in the in the manual?

Interesting - I'd love to know the story - I saw that as one of the few routine maintenance items (other than oil changes). I checked rockauto, oreilly auto parts and Napa and none of them showed fuel filters listed. Maybe it is still too new?

I searched on parts.ford.com and found 6 filters. Only filter close to a fuel filter is for going to the turbo.

That's a common diesel fuel filter service interval, so my guess is they didn't fix it for the gas engines of NA.

well I’m in Michigan too, so we tie for shitty weather rank. I have not seen one, but I doubt they’d skip it with a di engine.

In both the 2019 and 2020 Owner's Manuals I downloaded from Ford it says that the fuel filter is integrated in the fuel tank. It is a lifetime unit and no replacement is required under maintenance. See page 270 of the 2020 manual or the note on page 148 of the 2019 manual.

I think VAMike called it correct; a cut and paste error in the 2019 manual.

As a side note, I have purchased many new vehicles of several different manufacturers and I find the manual for the new Ranger is very poor in information and the way it is presented. It is clear that they did a lot of cut and pasting. It seems that the manual was rushed into production and not fully reviewed.

No sir, the "if equipped" note is on page 65 of the 2020 models, it refers to the keyless entry pad.
But, I digress, that blasted note is not used quite as often as it used to.

I find it impossible to believe that there isn't a fuel filter on a 2019 Ranger.

Indeed, especially when you consider the tremendous amount of pressure generated for the DI system to function.
Although it's a totally different breed of animal, Honda did not see fit to install a filter on my '02 CR-V as well, the only thing remotely resembling a filter being a fuel pickup "sock" for the in-tank pump.

2021 Manual says the same. Lifetime Filter, No replacement necessary.
It's a large sock-type filter that's part of the fuel pump. It will last for the life of the vehicle or the life of the fuel pump, whichever comes first. My wife's Chrysler minivan has the same thing.
