Where did you purchase it? Your dealer? Or online?

If I may ask, how much did you pay for it? Retail on it is $289, but I've seen other dealers offering it online for like $223 or so.

This will be one of my first purchases (along with an Extang Solid Fold 2.0 and a BedRug).
My dealer.

I paid $289 for it.

Looking at the instructions showing the rivet, is this even necessary? None of the other AMP Research Bed Extenders show the rivet. I have also watched several of their install videos and no rivet. Is this just to hold the tubes while screwing the retaining bracket?

After putting mine together, yes....it's necessary.

I tried it without the rivets since I didn't have a rivet gun. It kept coming out of adjustment every time I flipped the extender into the bed. So off to Home Depot I went to get a rivet gun. Followed the instructions and it works perfectly.

I've seen the instructional videos on Youtube. -------> https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=amp+research+bed+extender

Don't go by those videos unless you happen to come across one for the 2019 Ranger. Just follow the instructions that comes with the extender for the 2019 Ranger.

Has anyone installed the bed extender with a drop in bed liner? Looks like the top holes for the brackets are cover by the bed liner, so I guess I would need to drill holes.

Pics of the Yakima Bed Extender in action and stored away in my garage. It’s all aluminum, so hanging it up on the wall is an easy task.

Those are treated 6x6 timbers in the photo (i.e. they are not lightweight)

The bad thing about this bed extender is that some tonneau cover rails will prevent it from flipping in and out of the truck bed.

The V-shaped one fixes that problem. Mine barely misses the rail when I flip it in and out of the bed.

V-shape design is the perfect mix of form and function that keeps your gear secure. Provides the extra clearance needed when used with some tonneau cover rails.

Thanks for the tip! I wrote @PandaMotorworks to see if they know about fit issues with the BakFlip MX4 I have installed.

They didn’t know but when I look at the tailgate the black latches that hold the tailgate up stick out further than the rails for the MX4. So I’m going to give it a try. It it hits the MX4 rails it would also hit the latches found on all of the Rangers I think.

I have one. I bought it through the dealer's parts department the first week I had my truck. I comes in pieces you have to assemble.

Do I like it? Eh! It is just 'OK' I thought the one I had for my old Sport Trac was much nicer looking and I definitely liked the Sport Trac's method of mounting much nicer. Securing the extender in the 'extended' positing with fabric straps seems pure 'Rube Goldburg' to me.
