I thought I was going to get my truck today, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. I've been preparing a list of items to check at delivery. This is what I've come up with:
  • Tire pressure
  • Rear Seatback latching
  • Door alignment (doors sticking out)
  • Bed alignment
  • Rear seat bottom not latching
  • White Line on drivers door - 5" from handle
Are there other things that people can think of to check when I take delivery?

I made a list for my dealer to have done while the inspection is done. In addition I had:

1. Sync Update
2. TSB check for my vehicles vin.
3. Check door locks for corrosion.
4. Mine doesn't include the B&O sound system so I'm trying for some customer cash or an installed trailer brake controller.

For myself I also made sure I had my Mustang card and my pin ready with the documents for any cash incentives.

Check the quality of your paint. Already have had both passenger doors repainted.

Check washer fluid.
I didn't have any washer fluid and I'm not the only one here.
No big deal but very odd.
Also had to have the backseat latch corrected.

I haven't seen any reports of issues with hood alignment?
I saw one truck where the hood overhung the passenger fender 1/8" and flush with the driver fender. Same truck, all 4 doors didn't line up either

I have seen lots of 4WD Lariat sedans and one XL Commercial coupe.
The Fit and finish on all was perfect!
I'm confident that at least Ford can still build the best...
even if they have forgotten how, when it comes to marketing and logistics.
If Ford ever gets around to building and delivering my trucko_O it had better be Perfect!
Every day of further delay makes me pickier about delivery, by the time I get mine, even those paper floor mats had better be clean and installed straight!!

Well, here is what was wrong with mine when I got it:

-Washer fluid empty
-tires overinflated
-bedliner overspray and scratches
-Rear seat back wouldn't latch
-outstanding warranty issue (the parking brake/shifter interlock thing)
-Sync update needed

Most of those items were super easy for me to fix myself and gave me the chance to get to know the truck, so I'm not very mad about it. Overall still very happy with it!

That update thing is a nice heads-up, they should activate and update all the E-stuff, fill the washer fluid, and the gas tank and check the tire pressure as part of dealer prep.
Washer fluid, tire pressure, sync updates aren't defects.

That interlock thing, surely you can use the E-Brake with the truck in gear???

Just to add:
Check your steering wheel buttons and controls.
The left side on mine did not function at all, and I couldn’t check til I got home.
My dealership corrected the problem, and even gave me a loaner.
( it just sucks with the waiting and down time)
Lesson learned: Make sure all your buttons and electronics work before you drive off lol.

Mine looks like it hangs over more on the driver side. Gonna have it checked.

The shifter/parking brake issue was that when the parking brake was applied, the shifter might not fully engage the park position. There was a mechanical interference in the console.
