In anticipation of my new Ranger arriving soon, I am preparing my current Ranger for sale. It is a 2005 FX4 4x4 with 82,000 miles on it. It has the 4.0 liter v6 with a 5 speed M/T. I replaced the clutch less than 10,000 miles ago. I also just renewed the tags on it, so they are good until 2021. It has a Line-X spray in liner and factory running boards.

For a 14 year old truck I think it looks really good. There is nothing wrong with it. The reasons I'm selling it are as follows:
  • My primary transportation (a 2005 Honda) is being given to my daughter - so the Ranger will be my primary transportation.
  • My knees aren't what they used to be and doing the clutch in stop and go and city driving is tough on my knees. The occasional trip is fine, but doing it every day becomes an issue for me.
  • Since the truck will be my primary transportation, I would like to get better mileage. The new Ranger won't be a HUGE improvement, but it should be probably a 25% improvement in mileage (15-16 to 20-21 hopefully).
The truck is located in Oregon City, OR, just south of Portland.

KBB Private Party value for Very Good Condition is $8,100 - $10,096. I'm asking $10,000 firm at this point.

PM me with any questions.

Thanks

Pictures below - it is a little dirty since we've had some rain, but you can see the shine on the paint and overall it is very clean

I just sold my Ranger today. Got $8,900 for it. Not quite as much as I wanted, but still pretty good. WAY better than I would have gotten on a trade - probably $3,000 more than I could have gotten on a trade.

I just hope my new Ranger gets here ahead of schedule. We are going to have to juggle vehicles until it gets here.
