I use a service called myCARFAX, which is a free version of the service to track my own personal vehicles. All you need to do is create an account, enter your VIN, and it will give you similar tools as a paid CARFAX report for free.

It will automatically check for open recalls (so does Ford Owner), display past service visits, and remind you to change your oil.
