Attaches to the front bumper so the truck can be towed behind an RV. Several companies make base plates for cars that are towable (four wheels down) behind an RV. The new Ranger has a Neutral Tow Mode (4x4 only) that can be engaged for this purpose. This truck is so new that a base plate has not be made yet, as far as I know.

Thanks for the answers. I have towed campers, boats, and utility trailers for years but never towed a vehicle behind a camper.

What do you plan on using for the brake/tail lights? I used Hopkins on my Wrangler was a super easy plug and play, not sure if they have a Ranger setup as of yet (sent a message, waiting to hear back).
Right .now I was just going to use the magnetic trailer lights that would sit on the top back corners of the cab. I don't think I like the ones that. Blue ox are offering. If you see something out there let me know. Thanks .ps..the blue ox base plate is very similar to the one I built with the exception of the front adapted that built to tie the two sides together.

I was looking at the magnetic lights as well, but would obviously prefer the use of the taillights so will keep checking. And agree that the Blue Ox route is not the way to go for the lights.

Yes the one you fabricated is pretty awesome, I wish I was that handy!

What did you figure out for lights? I am ordering the Blue Ox Base plate but was curious if you found an alternative to their lights.
