I want all the options/luxuries that are available in every other segment.
Panoramic roof
Heated & Cooled seats
Full power seats, pedals, steering column, mirrors....WITH memory
360deg camera
Pro Trailer backup assist
Self parking
etc.

First manufacturer that builds a mid-size on par with other vehicle segments, gets my money
The mid-size truck market is the only segment that all manufactures dumb down.
I don't understand why.
I think part of the reason is they don't want to risk cannibalizing their full-size sales.
I'm a big fan of moonroofs. Had one on every new vehicle I've bought since my 1982 Escort GL, except for my '09 Mariner. I would get one installed on a Ranger, unless there is a structural problem prohibiting it.

This is what everyone says, but it's exactly what I don't understand.
They don't do this in other vehicle segments, so why the mid-size trucks?
I didn't buy a Ranger because it was cheaper and I couldn't afford a full-size. I bought it because I needed a truck and didn't want a full-size.
Personally, I believe the number of buyers are low; that purchase a mid-size truck because they can't afford a full-size.
The MRSP on my Ranger was $54k (Cdn). The Ranger is actually more expensive than a full-size. For $54k I can option a F150 that will be better equipt than the Ranger. It won't say "Lariat" on it (which mine is), but it will have more options.

On another note, why does anyone honestly think they need the 2.7 TT V6 engine in this truck? I'm absolutely dead serious.
What does "need" have to do with it?
Nobody needs power windows, power brakes, power steering, heated seats, heated steering wheel, leather seats, keyless entry, etc, etc....
Of course I don't need a 2.7, but I want one.

There really isn't to much it doesn't have that I would want/need but a few would be:

Cooled seats
a larger engine option
Auto start/stop with a longer delay
A console tray you can actually use,not the pencil holder they give you now
Tailgate damper :lipssealed:
Better leather in the Lariat
Power rear window,it's useless without one
Written this before about the rear window, electric motor and a worm gear to make it go up and down, just like all the others windows with a switch on the dash

what would I like to see...
-6 foot bed availability on the crew cab, even if you have to order it
-60/40 split/flat fold rear seat, my Nissan frontier had it and I really liked the flexibility
-damped tailgate, seems like everyone else has it, come on Ford, I just ordered the after market one for my 2019
-how about a nice GREEN paint option PLEASE
-integrated brake controller with the max tow package, heck even the Maverick gets one
-interior space of the Bronco, sitting in the back seat with a tape measure armrest to armrest Ranger is 52.5 Bronco is 54.5, 2 inches matter when one is a infant car seat.
-hybrid, I drive for my local Ford dealer so I have driven the hybrids, MPG improves so much yet the regular gas power when needed, hope the 2.3 hybrid happens
-love my heated seats and would like to see the cooled seats on the upper trim levels PLEASE
-firmer brake pedal feel
I probably missed a few but the current 5G is a damn good truck for being as old as it is in respect to design start around 2009 and sales year start 2012 in other countries with a refreshed version here in 2019.

I want a scab, PHEV, with the tricked out bed like the Maverick and redesign of the cab, I guess sort of like the Maverick, with Sync 4. I could get on board with a bed step bumper, and onboard tow brake controller with the tow package. Auto folding mirrors, full electric seats with cooling, and a heated steering wheel. And, maybe wireless charging port, though I really don't care about it in the 5G but it needs to be in the 6G

In other words, a lot of stuff that should have come on the 5G.

-Standard LED lighting below lariat
-Standard push button start below lariat
-60/40 rear seats that either fold flat or fold up like the F-150/Ridgeline
-flat, usable floor under rear seats
-smaller tail lights
-flex bed like Mav
-green color
-heated steering wheel and vented seats if they aren't options
-less tinny doors
-better infotainment system
-larger fuel tank

If we don't get a Wildtrak trim with NA 6G, I'm putting my own badging on. For some reason that marketing term has really struck a cord with me and it's how I want my truck identified :)

I can only wish that Ford would offer the same features on the Screw on the Scab. At the minimum a Tremor Scab. This would save me a lot of time instead of building my own. I can only wish for a Scab, EV, PHEV and Raptor. They don't even offer a Lariat Scab in Canada.

Not sure why they have to put on the overly large tail lights again on the 6G.

I have a 2002 Sport Trac with 170,000 miles that I am looking to replace. It is the dimensions of a crewcab Ranger. For me the crewcab with a six foot bed is a must. If it doesn't happen then I will be forced into a pickup from a competitor to Ford or move up to a F150.

I have a 2020 Lariat Sport Crew Cab. No FX4 Package. I think the personality of this truck is great, and would recommend to other people. With that said, my improvements would be:
1-How can the Driver Side door be this tinny? The other 3 are tinny, but my drivers door is the worst.
2-I really want a sunroof.
3-I looked at the FX4 package, but I easily preferred the ride in the stock suspension. However, I really wish I had the terrain management system.
4-Cooled Seats, and power recline front seats.
5-Agree needs better under rear seat storage.
6-Fulltime/Auto 4wd would be nice, but keep the 2-speed transfer case and the 10R80 transmission.
7-Really not a dampened tailgate. I added one, but it sucks in the winter time.
8-2 inches more interior width, and 2 inches more rear seat room. I'm hoping redesigning the doors, seats, and dash can accommodate this.
9-Adjustable Pedals.
10-Larger tank\more range on the tank would be nice.
11-I would like a little nicer leather also.
12-I really like android auto. Having wireless android auto with wireless charging would be nice.
I really think most of these will be addressed, or at least improved on. However, I am really curious if I will get the sunroof, A4wd, and adjustable pedals.

I know I live in the tropics, but I always have cold hands (even more so now that we're dealing with below 70F degrees (I know, I know :giggle:)), so the main thing I'd like to see is a heated steering wheel.
I'm just like you! I also live in Florida, and my arms and legs are like a snowman's, so for me the heated steering wheel is also an important thing, because I drive a lot of it to motor trader work, especially in the morning when it's a little cool. I would also like to improve the storage area under the rear seats, and judging by experience, we need to add more bed sockets.

What if... Aluminum body Ranger with the 2.7 turbo in eruption green? Add a flexbed with a multi-position tailgate and LEDs across the board.

Must be nice to have gotten the pencil holder, it went the way of the glovebox damper, engine cover, and bed tie downs by the time I got mine!
