Well, we survived. I lost our gazebo, basketball goal, and my bed cover (which I found and may be able to salvage)

My parents who live down ON the gulf (I’m 45 miles north) got hit much harder.

Glad you're okay. We have a lot of damage here in North Georgia and a lot of people are still without power. Ours was off for about 32 hours.

In honor of Halloween I rode to, in, and through one of the creepiest places I know locally, the old Duluth-Pacific-Winnepeg train tunnel. Not terribly creepy when it's busy with families and rock climbers. But when you're alone, like I was this afternoon, it can get to you a bit, or at least it can get to me. Especially when you hear a faint train horn on the wind and crumble of rocks in the darkness.

Part of the old D,W&P railroad is now part of CN’s Main Line from Winnipeg to Chicago. Very cool about the tunnel and I could see how it might be spooky.

Damn! I should have checked this thread a while ago. Late to the party, but this is what I saw out my front window this morning. Stepped outside in my PJ's to take the pic.

None that I know of. Moose have been sighted a couple of KM away, but I haven't seen any where I live.

We camped this weekend and did some trail work in the Ottawa NF. In the third photo, dearest is knocking ice and snow from the canopy. We'll leave the camper here until wintery weather forces us to end.

I once rode the Elroy Sparta Trail In Wisconsin. Super long former train tunnel. So long that eventually the opening we entered in goes from being a pinprick of light to complete and utter darkness. Lights required to get through. scary and fun!

That one is actually built-up and bricked on the inside it looks like. The one in my picture is old enough that it's just bare rock on the inside. Makes it real life scary (as opposed to just paranormally scary haha), because there have been a handful of times when I go in there and a portion of the wall has collapsed and there's huge rocks scattered on the ground.

That's a pretty long one too! The one in my picture isn't nearly as long, but it's curved so there's a short section in the middle where you can't see either end. This shot is from a ride in March 3 years ago.

I have a handful of other historic tunnels on my list to visit, I'll have to add this one too! Thanks for the share!
