My Ranger is a base Supercab XL 4x2 with a locking rear differential.

This is a no frills build to suit my day-to-day lifestyle, whilst also being a capable light-overland vehicle.

I plan on having this vehicle until it stops running. I have no delusions of grandeur when it comes to the capabilities of a non-4WD vehicle. This build will NOT rock crawl, but with proper suspension, tires, and the locking diff this build will suffice for my family's foray into the wilderness. A fully-kitted 4x4 vehicle isn't really conducive to the number of highway miles I drive. I do plan on acquiring a used vehicle at some point, which will be strictly offroad focused. Maybe a used 4x4 Ranger.

Current items installed/ordered:

ARE CX topper
DECKED storage system
Mishimoto Catch Can
OEM Skid Plate
McGard Tailgate Lock
Glow In The Dark Ignition Trim Ring Bezel
ValvoMax Quick Twist Stainless Steel Valve
ARB CKMP12 w/ EZ Deflator (ARB600) & Inflator (ARB601)
Extang MaxSeal
NOCO Boost Plus Jump Starter Pack
Fox 2.0 Suspension
FIA Seat Covers
Mishimoto Intake
Falken AT3W 255/80/17
ICON Tubular UCA
ORA Sway Bar End Links
TurboSmart Dual-Port BOV
Motegi MR150 trailite 17" 18+ mm

Future items (maybe, maybe not):

MBRP Downturn Exhaust

Welcome to the 4x2 club! Looking forward to watching your build. You have a good list going so far and it will only grow the longer you scroll through this lol

Thanks, I appreciate it! I've looked over your build a couple times!

I think I'll be taking some pictures tomorrow, weather permitting.

OK, so here is my truck, as is. Basically, the only think I've done is remove the front air dam, installed a DECKED system, and put the glow-in-the-dark ring around the ignition.

I will be installing the RAM mounts stuff soon. The ARE CX should be installed in a week or two. Suspension will be installed some time this month and tires will go on when I go for an alignment.

265/70-17 KO2. Came off my rollover 4Runner that prompted the Ranger purchase.
Hoping to locate either a Vagabond Drifter or AT Overland pop up camper. Something I can still have use of the bed for daily use.

I can’t decide between 255/80-17 and 265/70-17. Also having a hell of a time trying to decide between KO2s and Wildpeaks.

The Vagabond Drifter is a nice setup. I’ve seen one in person and was very impressed. Had no idea they’re making one for the Ranger now. I’d love to get one, but I‘m really considering a 2-Door bronco so I think I’m just going to maximize use of my ARE CX.
