I stopped by a tire shop today to look at some tires for a '77 F-150 and asked the guy about Dynapro's. He said the only tire he hates worse is Falken. Not a great review :crying:

Duratrac or KO2s might be in my future
This didn't make me feel any better. Go to 8:10...

I like these guys but this seems like more of a case of driver error/ bad line, although I could be wrong.

Yeah, we weren't there to see the line but the rock didn't look too bad to me from the video. One thing I'm sure of is my KO2's or Duratrac's wouldn't cut a sidewall on that rock, especially at those pressures. TFL uses that trail a lot, has anybody else seen them cut a tire on that trail?

If the tire shop hadn't predicted problems already, I'd be less concerned. I'll probably run stock tires until next fall and get new ones for hunting season.

Fellas, Hankook may be one supplier but apparently they are not the exclusive supplier. Pics taken of a 4x4 Lariat show the Rangers are also shipping with Bridgestones.

To be expected from a P metric highway tire designed for optimizing fuel economy (thin sidewalls for reducing rolling friction).

I have seen a few pictures with the Bridgestone Dueler tires. I believe they were all Sport Packages with standard 17" tires.

I took delivery Saturday 1/19/19 and my Ranger XLT with chrome package came through with 17” Bridgestone tires.

Well, that’s too bad, since the Dynapro LT version is apparently only a 6-ply rated tire rather than a 10-ply E load rating like the K02s. Not a high enough load rating to handle our camper. Oh well.
I'm wondering where you saw this - all the Hankook tires I saw were 4 ply, not 6 ply. This is a big deal for me because I popped a tire on some granite gravel roads around here - they replaced them with 6 ply tires. The more plies the better for off roading!

And this wasn't even off roading - it was just driving a forest service gravel road to a well used trailhead. My daughter and I were doing a backpacking trip and when we got to the trailhead, I opened my door and heard "ssssssss" - I looked down and my front driver side tire was almost flat. When I took it to the tire shop on the way home they said it was common - they didn't even sell 4 ply tires. I'd never seen a rock on a gravel road slice tire tread like that had done. I guess the granite sometimes breaks in really sharp ways and can be hard on tires.

I'm hoping the FX4 tires are at LEAST 6 ply. I never want to have anything less than 6 ply after that experience.

I upgraded to the LT tires and they came as 6 ply

I'd have to add the sport package to mine, which adds another $1000 to the cost - I'll just have to stay with the existing tires.

Since I have a VIN and a build week now, I'm not sure I could even make changes to the order anyway. I was just hoping the FX4 tires would be an upgrade from normal 4 ply tires.

So.......for a new Ranger super crew, 4x4, non FX4, with electronic locking diff, non chrome, non black, non sports, the standard tire is the Hankook 255/65R17 All-Terrain Black Side Wall, correct? Has anyone received their truck with something else without a different wheel or package?
