Well, I've decided that a Lariat SuperCrew 4x4 in Blue Lightning with the 501A pkg, tow pkg, and e-locker will be the one for me. But, I'm not a chrome or badge fan. So, I'll be plasti-dipping the Lariat fender emblems, both Ford emblems, and removing the 4x4 decal. And hopefully, I'll be lucky enough to find someone who would trade me their black Lariat grill for my chrome one....may even consider a black one from an XLT or XL. I'm not getting the Sport pkg...just don't like the way the 2-tone looks.

Anyone else planning any body mods ??

I'm sorta thinking of adding a front bumper and a light bar...if that's even considered as body mods.

It will be interesting to see how aftermarket companies design these products for the front end. Thinking about the sensors for adaptive cruise control and for collision braking that cannot be blocked.

I thought those were the camera(s) behind the rear view mirror? I thought the only sensors that were in the front were the proximity sensors for parking? But maybe I mis-understood where things are.

I know the BLIS (blind spot detection) sensors are in the bottom part of the rear tail lights.

ADD has accounted for the front parking sensors and added spots for them across their bumper line. For the AEB and Cruise Control, I believe that's all handled up top behind the rear view mirror.

EDIT: Scratch that, there is a radar sensor in the bumper apparently - from the owner's manual:

I've had experience with Ranch Hand front end replacement grill guards. That is one HEAVY mfer..........

Those pictures are just an idea of what I'd be looking at.

They are not the exact determined products...just similar.

But thanks a lot for the info.
