Cobb Tuning might give the Ranger more power!

I've been a Subaru guy for a long time and have used Cobb since my first WRX. When they started working with Ford, I never looked into until I began my research in a new Ranger.

Here is some exciting news from Cobb. I asked if they were going to develop for the new Ranger and this is the response I received.

Since it's the RS motor, I don't see why they wouldn't. Add an accessport, intake and exhaust for a simple boost in power.

I have seen similar gains on the 2.3L in the Mustang. Excited to see how much can be unlocked in the Ranger variant.

The 2.3L in the Ranger is so similar to the one used in the Focus RS that I feel like we should see a really strong aftermarket for tuning and bolt ons. There is going to be great potential.

The Hennessey website says they are working on performance mods for the 2019 Ford Ranger Raptor. I emailed them to see if they are planning anything for the US spec Ranger as well. Hopefully it's in the pipeline.

I'm a long time Subaru guy as well and have also used COBBs accessport in all of my cars. I used my own (GS) hard parts, but COBB always made really nice stuff. I'm planning on doing their whole downpipe/intake/intercooler/tuning setup on my Raptor and I'm hopeful that if the Raptor stuff goes well, they'll get further into the truck market.
