What about Faux Wood Paneling? No?
Just kidding, Some things from the 70 should be left there. LOL

A little wood paneling on the family truckster, load up the fam and road trip to Wally World! Leave Grandma at home and don’t forget the dog!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I have considered a similar pattern using carbon fiber vinyl in a very subtle way. Need to find a some that matches closely to the Magnetic. I would also like to get the front bash plate wrapped in the same. I do have a connection as my brother in-law works in the business doing wraps. This may not happen for awhile, or if never, due to the current pandemic. Gotta put priorities on things and this is down the list a ways.

Too bad that '62 is blocking the '49 in the top photo.
The 1970-72 Torinos were some of the best looking cars Ford ever produced- hard to believe that many of the same people went on to draw up the Granada!

With all the ugly car choices you could pick from... you pick the Granada?

Why not pick, lets say, a Ford Escort. They looked like an entry level middle school wood shop project.

We made birdhouses in 9th grade wood shop. Funny though, now that you mention it, they did look a lot like a 1st gen Escort!
I had just started selling cars and bought a 2dr '82 Escort GL 1.6L 4sd manual. First 4cyl car I ever owned, I had a pop-up/removable sunroof installed and drove it for 11 years when the head gasket blew.

The Escort photo you include appears to me to be of the drop-dead gorgeous ultra sleek European Escort, judging from the small bumpers and, on close inspection the steering wheel looks to be on the right side, the car itself parked on the "wrong side" and the white van has a Euro plate.
The kiss-your-sister Granada is interesting in that it has 408 Cobra badging- a rather obscure crate engine punched out from a 351 cid Windsor V8. Nice wheels, too.

um no. where do you get off telling me how i should view something?
Nobody is saying that you can't have an opinion but, your critique was a bit oblique...perhaps sand off the corners and just say something like what my cousin used to say when customers wanted to buy geeky chrome add-ons for their VWs, "Why that'll look great on your car little buddy!" He was 6'7" and almost everyone was his "little buddy." I'm looking at the pic of the Ranger and yes, it's a bit "pointy" up front but taking the truck's lines into account, not sure what else you could do?

Better? I mean there's even a body panel intersection there just begging to be used.

Wasn't visible on my teeny tiny phone and didn't bother to walk out in the downpour to check out my own truck but you're right...that does look more finished! Perhaps you can lend your P-Shop skills to this painter? LOL

They were 70 and 71 only. The 72 body style changed a lot. I drooled over the 70/71 Torinos back in the day, a half dozen years before I could drive and 10 years before I could buy a new car.
A Cobra Jet in a wagon would be wicked but I'd prefer the Ranchero!

That's better but I'm wondering what it would look like if the area below the headlights and grille were white instead of red. Any chance you can do another rendering?
