Actually hauled some stuff. In laws are down sizing and selling their house around here as they live in Albany area in their new home for a few years now. They gave me their rock candy Barrel from Brooklyn and an old wagon wheel. MX4 cover did great as did my buddy’s 3D printed “Much Improved” support rod holders.

No, the wheel isn’t a full size spare lol!

Planned on installing the tailgate assist I got in the mail earlier this week. Of course that required a trip to the local Home Depot to pick up a T50 bit and found a scrap of 2X8 to make a bed divider so got to haul that home.

Then installed the tailgate assist.

Measured twice and cut once and it fit perfect the first time.

I have some epoxy paint I'll use on it when the weather is warm enough.

Well since I took a detour on the way home last night when I saw an intriguing dirt rode covered in mud, this morning I decided it was time for the first real bath at home.

In case anyone wonders what its like washing a car while its 21 degrees outside, its substantially worse than it sounds.

Decided to also change the splash screen on the stereo and fine tune my speedo for the new tires in forscan.

Trying to decide now if I do the Sync 3.4 upgrade or hold out for an official release.

Twenty one degrees Fahrenheit?
How is that possible?
We've been experiencing a cold spell here in Honolulu, I washed my beater Honda this morning in frigid temperatures, about 68 degrees F., brrrrr...lol

Yep 21 Fahrenheit lol. It was brutal. The hardest part is drying before the water freezes. I think my next purchase will be a heater for the garage.

I did this:

20200222_153430.jpg

But I'm not enamored with the outcome.

The A and the E are the only two that didn't seem to need to stretch into the form.

Is there some special way I'm missing; I followed the online instructions.
Antonio the dash letters are pretty tough to do. I used soapy water solution and a q tip to install and worked good. Bret

My buddy in Alaska has 2 ceiling mounted electric heaters in his garage, not only for heat, but for humidity.
He's located in a very damp area of the state, matter of fact his entire home is heated electrically.
Been telling him for years to convert to gas heat, if I am not mistaken, Alaska has the world's largest reserve of natural gas.
Can you imagine having to heat homes in Hawaii electrically @ 33 cents per K/wh?

Lol, exactly the same here, anytime the mercury dips below 70 people here are bundled up as if they are going to do the Iditarod.
In all the years I've lived in Honolulu, the coldest I've experienced was maybe 52 degrees, the warmest 98.
I once house sat @ my nephews place in Vegas one August, never again...

Such is the price of living in Paradise Bret.
Hawaii does not have natural fuel resources so all the fuel oil for electricity generation is shipped here.
What we do have however, is an abundance of sunlight, my home's 28 panel PV system creates enough juice for my home and to feed the excess back to the power companies grid as well.
I love my $12 summer month electric bill, it's the minimum charge HECO assesses.

Nice Jeff! I basically have a Net 0 house but im connected to the grid cause the cost of electricity here is cheap enough that solars panels take too many years to pay for themselves. I still can have electric bills under or around $100 per month year round including heat and A/C,and I also heat and cool my garage.

I remember hearing about the cost of electricity there and could hardly believe my ears. Our power rates here are still too low to justify the investment in solar--too many years to recoup the initial costs. So for now, we heat with electric heat pumps until the temperature dips too low for them to be effective, then the systems switch to natural gas.

Landscapers at my job hit my truck in the parking lot on Friday. Luckily, I detail for a living, although I wasn’t very confident this would come out 100%.

Graced by the detail and Ranger gods.. it miraculously did!

I’ll be doing a full paint correction and coating in April. Can’t wait for that extra gloss!
