Have truck coming next week and want to get steps, nerf bars , whatever you want to call them.
But I want them to sit tight to the door sill/body.
Hard to see how tight they are on manufacturers website as well as pix on this forum.
Anybody have installed any that sit real close to body with a step.
Saw a post about n-fab and they looked close but again hard to tell.
Any pix out there showing the gap between body and bar of different brands
Thanks Rob

Shrockworks Rocksliders... They tuck really tight and they bolt to the frame, not the sheet metal floor of the truck.

Trucks here now and having a hard time deciding which nerf/steps to get.
Want ones that sit tight to doorsill.
The Schrockworks rock sliders are nice but adding them will reduce the payload of truck, will be towing a trailer, and besides probably will never be in a position that they would be a benefit .
Lund terrain Hx look good also but for the life of me can't find any to fit 2020 supercrew .
N-fab makes a nerf/step but hard to see how close it sits to doorsill.
Anybody have a set they can post a pix.
How about other options?
Thanks Rob

I have the Go Rhino Dominator DSS steps. They are 6" wide but sit so close to the rocker, there's only about 3" of usable step.

Well, that's a new one.... "Sorry honey, you'll need to stay home... you'll reduce my payload capacity"

Mine are Westin HDX Stainless Drop Steps (I had them powder coated in metallic-grey, they come black)

Henrymac, and it is something I am considering. When you have a wife, 2 kids, trailer tongue wt etc. When you put on 130 plus pounds of nerf step bar as opposed to maybe 60 lbs from other manufacturers, it all adds up.

Always good to prioritize and do research.

While you are considering that... think about this. The reason the Shrockwork Rocksliders are 160 lbs is they are a structural part, designed to allow your truck to slide across a rock without the slider, or the rock, damaging your truck. They attach to the frame.

If you get t-boned from another vehicle the rock sliders are much more than a running board, they will help to protect the vehicle and it's occupants.

That cannot be said for any running board that bolts to the floor of the truck.

Plus... they don't look like an afterthought... they look like a part of the truck.

You mentioned the Lund terrain HX, here's what I got for my super crew:
LUND Terrain HX
Edit: The link may be for the 2019 but they are the same truck. Mine is the 2020 and it fits. The gap may be more than you're looking for though

Yes, I found those also. But when I called Lund and asked if they fit a 2020 they had no idea if they would. And I could order them if I chose and if they did not fit knowing I was trying them on a 20 not 19 I would have to pay the return shipping.
Trying to find anybody who has installed on a 20.
I'm pretty sure Ford did not change mounting points, but not that confident.
Probably cost 100$ to ship back if they don't fit
Thanks Rob
