After driving Chevs my 96 Ford diesel felt that way to me. The ranger feels the same. The chev will lock up easier. It is a matter of getting used to it or not.

I wonder if there’s a direct swap from another ford vehicle that has a larger bore MC. I did this when I raced Hondas, I found a direct swap MC from another Honda with a larger bore and radically improved pedal feel. It looks like some folks with older Rangers have done the same thing with a F350 MC..

The problem is figuring out if anything is compatible and whether it needs bigger or smaller. I installed a massive 6 piston caliper kit up front and it made the pedal feel like it's supposed to. That's the opposite of it being too small.
