You should be able to find it on https://www.fordpartsprime.com/ at a really good deal. Just enter your VIN to pull up your vehicle's catalog. Hope this helps.
Thanks for the reply

I checked out the site, and it did not work for 2019.. or my vin :( I am going to continue to look around .

@Eragon I think you mean "skid plate". If you search the forums for "skid plate" you will find several posts.

I want to add one on my 4x2 Lariat. This is the cheapest I have found:
https://parts.livermoreford.com/oem...MIpNmW3pCq5wIVgYbACh3A3QKsEAQYAiABEgIiNvD_BwE

What I am not sure about is if any other parts besides that one are needed. I plan to ask my local Ford dealer. As far as where to buy it, it appears different Ford dealers will list different prices for the same part and I am thinking my local dealer will match the price especially if I pay for installation ;).

Hi Rene,

Do you have tow hooks in front? If not...you will be creating a bracket to fit the OEM "Bash" skid plate in my opinion. When I pulled my skid plate to install my tow brackets, the tow brackets had an extension for reinstall of the skid plate. This opinion assumes the 4x2 and 4x4 frames are the same as I do not really have any verification they are the same.. Frame complexity of the old Ranger was a bit on the complex side...

Back Story,

Ford Light Truck Engineering had an initiative to have a common chassis between Econoline and F Series. Tons of money and time were poured into this project...and in the end the study showed it was impossible to accomplish without major tear up of both bodies to make this possible and the cost was more than keeping the frame lineup unique to the vehicle. Another story was of the 1981 Escort...a World car...By the time Ford tried to comply with the regulations of YURP and the US, and Canada and the ROW....it was an epic fail at that time. I suspect the ROW Ranger and the US Ranger is closer but still quite different..eg We do not have a diesel option yet...

Yes, I have tow hooks ;). I still need to schedule my taillight connector recall, so I plan to ask my dealer about the skid plate when I do that.

Aren't the tow hooks different on the Fx4 to allow for the mounting of this skid plate?

Hi Leo,

I do not know as I do not have the ability to compare models of Rangers... You may be correct... Anyone with an XLT chime in here?
