Well, after a frustrating and futile visit to my dealership about missing tie downs and covers, I'm going rogue. I'm missing my middle tie downs like everyone else, and I'm also missing the rubber covers for my drop in liner over those.

Dealership wanted to charge me over $130 for the missing tie downs. That just pissed me off, but I can get them elsewhere so I'll move on. What I am trying to find are the rubber covers like in my attached photo. Parts guy says the only way to get them is to get a new bed liner! I've actually found a kit that lists for the F150, part# FL3Z-99000A25-A.
Anyone think this will also fit the Ranger?

Hey Ashley
I plan to sell my drop in and was looking for the retention plugs as I was told they get destroyed when you pull them out. I was actually successful in not destroying them so did not buy the kit. But that was the same one I was planning to buy.
  1. I don't know for a fact that the covers are the same, but cant see why they would be different. You can buy on Amazon and return if it does not work

I would say you can just measure the diameter of the hole and get some at like Ace hardware or Home Depot. There's nothing special about them honestly.

As far as getting the ones specifically designed for the liner I would say they probably don't come separately from Ford Accessories. I work in parts and see this issue all the time where a liner or tonneau cover is missing hardware and it's very difficult to obtain individual hardware pieces from kits. While usually not impossible though.

Ford sells the 4” bed liner plugs. Your truck should have come with the 6 plugs even though ford cheaped out on only 4 tie down hooks.

I'm going to give the 4" kit for the F150 a try. It should work as my holes, the F150 i checked, and even my dad's Ram have 4" holes for the attachment points. It's only $15 for the kit so I won't be out too much. I'll try it out and post up the results!

It's a stupid design. They shouldn't be there at all but I guess they took the easy way out.

It would be best if you had to remove the hooks and reinstall after putting in the drop in liner with no 4" holes. It would have helped keep the liner in place and no stupid hole covers to deal with that suck.

It was like this on my 2013.

If I knew they were like this I would not have ordered one.

Yep, they fit. Package includes the 4 covers, small trees for attaching them, large trees for the bedliner corner attachments, and two plugs for the light switch on larger trucks. I attached a file with the part numbers.

As i can understand you are furious with missing the center tie downs by themselves Ford stopped putting the center tie down in the beds around June or July if I remember correctly. there is a bulletin for that and I think it is stupid that they did that.
