I have an XLT and my local Ford dealer made me a "skeleton key" for only $20!! I leave the original FOB in the truck and put the "skeleton key" in my wetsuit. Problem solved! When you open your truck again, make sure the FOB is close by to quickly disarm the alarm or it will go off.

I got mine at a locksmith up the street from Galpin Ford.. $50
I don't remember the name of the shop..

Then it sounds like the solution Surfink suggests is probably the most viable solution in your situation.
As for me I've already ordered a keyless entry pad from Cutter Ford, will probably mount it to the inside of the fuel fill door.

I like the idea of mounting inside the fuel door - we have all those ford pass points - hmmm.......

As I mentioned in my original post, my local FORD DEALER made it for me.

True the phone will work. However, if there person wants to leave that also in the truck they can do that.
