I got the Social increase and I think the VA is kicking in a little something, too. Are those the vinyl chrome raised letters? I agonized between those and the flat stainless from Ford (Putco). I think the flat letters in the embossed recess looks more like the classic Ford lettering, but that's my opinion. Post a final pic in March and let us know what you think.
Hi Mikchael,

They are raised plastic chrome letters...Eyecatcher.... I am holding off until I complete eye surgery for cataract removal and vision correction...Have one eye done now and the distortion with the old left eye is complicating any detailed work...I do not want to screw this up so need corrected vision....I am only using one eye now and the weird thing is I am so off on simple things like reaching for a glass...I miss by just a tad of a good grasp..so letter alignment with the tailgate depressions will have to wait...Really only to mid February...Maybe...:)

Haha I love that. The same joke is in the Ford Pass app, where you can shop for a new car as soon as you register the one you just bought.

My grille finally showed up today! I’m going to test fit it soon and then splash some paint on it.

. . . I am holding off until I complete eye surgery for cataract removal and vision correction . . .
Not to take this thread off track, but I had mine done last year. After 60+ years wearing glasses, greatest thing I ever had done to me. Getting used to needing reading glasses is the hardest part - I have them stashed all over the house. You can get them cheep at the dollar store.

I understand your feelings. I had my second cataract surgery just last week and am in the healing process--so far, so good. Having this last surgery has been a little more difficult because it was done on my "good eye." My right eye had a blood vessel to burst in the retina in July of 2018, and continued bleeding until it completely ruptured the macula. Emergency surgery put it back together, but left the eye very scarred and my vision very distorted. Good luck with your surgery.

I don't think so... it could happen later if someone or myself comes up with something that doesn't show up as much when they're turned off.

Got my 3D printed ignition trim ring from Dean. I’m sure I’m the only one who’ll ever notice this on the truck, but for $10 it makes me happy.

Finally got my Shrockworks Rock Sliders today that were part of the group buy.

Hope it was worth it, nearly 2 months without a word from them, no response to emails, then suddenly a call from the freight company. Might get to install this weekend.

Ignition trim ring bezel.

Me, a guy who does not easily sign on to the current craze, makes fun of people's tailgate dampers, will not install a China knockoff Raptor grille because everyone has one - well one day I jammed my key into the gap between the ignition cylinder and the steering column so I got one.

Hi Eddie,

Will face the music tomorrow. Hope all is going to go well...I have one of the top optimistic surgeons in Tucson doing my eyes. Wife had her eyes done about 5 years ago by her. Fellow neighbor had another sergeon do his and his wife's eyes...Nothing but trouble...

Anyway..maybe a while before I can post again. Hopefully not, but I also know my usefulness on this site is trending to be "old hat"...

I have only so much "give back" to contribute... Anyway...Time for a Jack on the Rocks to calm down the angst of the impending surgery.

Thanks for the wish for successful results.

Best,
