Years ago I had a friend who purchased jaguar new, then promptly had the drive train replaced with a GM 350 V8 engine / transmission kit that was designed just for that purpose. The factory drive train was that unreliable and expensive to repair. He told me he stored the original drive train and when he planned to sell the car years later he's let the OEM drive train go with the car.It probably runs better that way than it did from the factory. lol
Crazy logic, but he led me to believe it was common.
