That works! I have the same thing happens when I copy the link from my YouTube favorites but if I search for the video and copy the link they work.

Good video and it does go well with all our discussions here. Especially the 10R80. It's pretty bad when we have several members here who had to go through all this testing themselves and give us the exact same recommendations that these "experts" came up with. I was skeptical when I first saw the first transmission oil change was at 150K. o_O I'm glad I added an extended warranty to mine. It's another "just in case" insurance which I'll hopefully never need but will be glad I have it if I do. Plus I added it before I retired so I was able to write it off through the business.

I've always changed my oil at 5,000 miles. For me it was just cheap insurance making sure there's always fresh oil in there. I also try and use top tier gas stations like Costco and have always put in premium fuel since day 1. Hopefully these little things help and prolong any carbon build up which will eventually happen with any DI engine.

Same here. Only Costco premium since new. Luckily, Costco gas is 1 mile from my house. Mine came with ASS delete and my oil changes are at 5000 miles with full synthetic. The video just confirms what I thought was right. Fitz Stick, tranny fluid, filter and deep pan going on at 36,001 miles. The first first transmission oil change was at 150K is crazy. Those intervals are to keep the TCO numbers down to sell units. Most failures will happen after the warranty expires.

Nice video. My dealer got rid of ASS on first oil change. It's good to understand how tow haul really works, so I know how and what to do. Not sure why I have to get out of tow haul mode to get engine braking going down hill ... I'm puzzled by it.

Ford were fined $10,000,000 by Consumer affairs in Aus for "unconscionable treatment" of owners over the dual clutch disaster. Basically for a long time they tried everything possible to wriggle out of warranty claims. In the end sales of Ford and particularly small ford cars tanked so badly, that they ended up removing them from the local market, we only get Rangers and Mustangs, (and F series through a third party arrangement) now. In fairness dual clutch seems to be a design that only a few makers have managed to get something like right.

I agree nice video. Only problem is they a perpetuating the myth that the transmission learns your "driving style". The rest of their description of it is right. It adjusts (adapts) to tolerances and wear to make the transmission shift to a predetermined style, determined by Ford. Unfortunately that style is not how most people would like. And. It also get messed up quite easily and needs to be reset more often than it should. Sometimes do to wear and contamination issues.

Also, James, I believe you have it wrong. Using Tow Mode actually turns ON the engine braking feature. I have towed my camper in the mountains and know this from personal experience. The locking out of 9th and 10th, that they recommend is also my SOP.
