Since our last trip towing, my wife has been after me to look for a larger/roomier tow vehicle. She loves the Ranger but just wants more room up front.
Looked at numerous Fords (has to be a Ford) that were in the price range of what was offered for the Ranger.....$28 grand. Hard to find a later model F-150 extended cab at a good price.
Local dealer had a 2019 Expedition XLT come in with all the right equipment for towing 9300 lbs. It is high mileage...112,000 but clean all around with a lot of very recent maintaince done...all fluids, total brake and new tires.
So, we bought it...got a good deal for cash, and will make more back on the Ranger sale
I will be stripping any mods I did on the Ranger and will have stuff for sale in the next week or so.
Now I gotta see if the Expedition Forum is any fun !!!! I will still be around....

Thanks....it is very clean. One owner, and he was a mgr for local UPS warehouse and had to drive between Staunton and Charlottesville daily.....around 80 mile round trip....thus the high miles.
Rear third row seats never sat in, and although tow package is there, he never towed.
Maintaince done by Ford dealer and his mechanics at UPS.....got loads or receipts. It drives like a new vehicle. No warranty, so will be putting $$$$ in separate account for any emergency's....NO THIRD PARTY WARRANTY !!!!!!!
I will still be around....great people here !!!!!
Look for upcomming parts for sale !!!!

We'll miss ya Grumpaw...
Thanks Sid....it is just a matter of getting older and wanting a bit more comfort in long trips towing.
Can't justify keeping both, so Ranger going.

I haven't been on the forum very long Grumpaw, but the threads that I chimed in on, that you have also been on. Sir, your knowledge is abundance and very inspiring. You will be missed. However, I have to agree with Sid on this, even with the new to you Expedition, stick around. Just my two cents!😁

Well, you’re certainly going to have more room up front! Did ya get the 3.5 turbo V6? My buddy put nearly 300k on one.
Yup....3.5 twin turbo, 10 speed auto, 4x4 with 2 speed case, 3.73 limited slip axle, FX4 package with high end other packages.
Still tight as a new vehicle
