Hello!

I live in Georgia, USA and I ordered the Ranger switch fascia, TBC face, and light switch CBSWTY2DL. I'm trying to make another custom switch that matches that one. Can anyone tell me whether that switch is a momentary switch or a latching switch?

They don't sell a switch that is listed on their website, which doesn't make sense to me, but they said I would have to make a custom switch for it. (Specifically talking about CBSWTY2W)

Thanks for helping!

just looking at the type of switch that is, its got to be an on/off switch. CH4x4 made the switches I used, when I had the LightForce fascia on my Ranger. You can customize them to anything you want (text, images, momentary, on/off).

It is.......

But is it a momentary or latching switch?

For a light switch like that, it should be latching (I would call that on/off mean click on, click off). If you're having a custom switch made, why do you need it to be what that is? Wouldn't you just want to have it what you need? Not trying to be an ass, just trying to understand.

Reread my original post. I explained it in that post.

I want CBSWTY2W. I emailed them and asked to buy it. They said they don't sell it and I would have to make it by using the custom switch generator. So I'm trying to figure out whether this switch, CBSWTY2DL, which I already ordered, is latching or momentary, so I can make the custom CBSWTY2W that would at least match CBSWTY2W, when turning on/off the lights.

I have a few switches from the ones I pulled off my truck since I'm going back to stock. I have dual and single switches. What exactly are you looking for?

When you push it, does it immediately spring back out? Or does it stay pressed in until you push it again?

I'm trying to make CBSWTY2W, because they said they won't sell me one unless I make a custom one.

I do not have - Lifeforce, but it appears that the answer to your question is here.
It appears that this switch is configurable via programming.
1. Press and Hold - Momentary
2. Press and Release (ON) - Press and Release (Off) (On & Off)

So in order for this to be universal momentary or on/off, the switch itself is most likely a momentary switch that is configured as (Press and Hold) or (1-Press) ON and (1-Press) Off.
It cannot be a (Latching) switch for the (Momentary) function to work.

The BUILD (Customization) is key for how you want the switch to work.

I know the (pic) included in the below screen shot is a (Rocker) but that's (AI) for ya, not yet perfect.

I was asking because their customization page gave both of those as an option, so I was trying to figure out which one it was.

Thank you for taking the time to explain.

Last night, I went to order the custom switch and, lo an behold, the switch that I wanted, that they said they didn't sell, was suddenly and miraculously available. *Rolls eyes so hard it's audible* I went through all of this hassle for a whole week just for them to make it available to buy.

It was so angry about it. But I was able to buy the one I wanted in the first place.

God let's bad things happen for a Good reason.

We don't know why, but He does.

Wow that weird, was the difference that I logged in locally perhaps? That was a local link I posted, but they additionally have literally hundreds of re-sellers over here.
