Right 4-5. Thanks!Actually it needs to be between 4-5, pull out a little less than a 1/2 qt and check it!
I've noticed that it doesn't take much to move the level down significantly.Actually it needs to be between 4-5, pull out a little less than a 1/2 qt and check it!
It's possible that I raised the level too much when I added the LubeGuard. I surely didn't think 15oz would make much of a difference.I've noticed that it doesn't take much to move the level down significantly.
I made the same mistake. It makes a difference! It's possible that I raised the level too much when I added the LubeGuard. I surely didn't think 15oz would make much of a difference.
I busted out a big batch, I shouldn't run out so fast, it takes a total of 3 days to make them and usually I make a batch of 8-10, this time I did it in stages and got 18 of them done.Hey,
Just went to buy a dipstick and it says "sold out." Are more coming?
Ok, so the provided hoses with the Harbor Freight pump (the red ones) are too fat to get down the Fitzstick. What are you guys using?Well, I finally got a good reading on the stick, thanks to Mike's suggestion of not checking it in bright sunlight. I checked it when I got to work and could park on a super flat spot. It was reading between the 2 and 3, not the specified 3 and 4 (I think). So stopped at HF on the way home and got the $8 transfer pump.
How much should I pump out?
I'm using this pump kit. All the hoses work perfectly. $16.99Ok, so the provided hoses with the Harbor Freight pump (the red ones) are too fat to get down the Fitzstick. What are you guys using?
Might have to throw the HF pump in the trash and get this. Can't return it.I'm using this pump kit. All the hoses work perfectly. $16.99
The inlet hose is 49" long and easily goes to the bottom of the transmission pan.

Well crap, I was under the impression what came with the HF pump was all you needed. Might as well have spent a little more and got an electric pump with the proper hoses. The 3/8 hose from Home Depot works well, cut the end at an angle and it goes right in.
The red hose slides right over the 3/8 hose and seals well.

I just stumbled on some 3/8" hose in my stash of crap. It's not a tight fit in the red hose from HF. Possibly with some oil it would seal ok. But doubt it. Maybe it's old and shrank a little. Not gonna try it. Gonna try to and return the unused HF pump. If I can't, the Goodwill store is right next door, so...The 3/8 hose from Home Depot works well, cut the end at an angle and it goes right in.
