Lake Pueblo State Park in Pueblo, CO stays open basically year round for mountain biking.

I could probably convince myself to drive down that way as long as it's not forecasted to rain/snow there if that helps your drive up to Colorado.

Let me talk it over with the wife this evening, when I bought a bike from Denver, I was able to get him to meet in raton. That's not much farther. I'm in Roswell NM.
