Sub do you have a link to that one? I'm not so much a tight arse as I am just wanting to spend my money wisely and frugally. Want them to be thick enough to take a hit plus a well sealed lid. At least since they've been out a while the prices are slowly falling. Some accessories are still high.

They're all made in China and the SwingCases I have are okay. Of course, I'd prefer aluminum or steel.

One of my SwingCases just popped a hinge, just pops up and can be pushed back down. Maybe a bit overstuffed and close the the supposed 65# limit (they get hard to swing out and to lock when over 45-50 pounds).

One of mine came with a slice (looks like a saw blade, not a box cutter) on the top. I just used ABS plastic glue to fill it in.

Tough and thief-proof they are not!

I can't see that knock-off one being so diff. I suppose if you could be certain it was ABS and not some super cheap plastic ... I wouldn't be too put off by it.

Ya im with ya on cheap plastic, things like this i generally like hands on to look it over. Im not as concerned about thief proof, water proof is better for me. Im using some heavy gauge storage containers for now with lock down lids held in by a stout bungee cord. Even if one of these swing outs have a secure locking lid, don't most of them have a lift off hinge so someone can just walk away with it?

I asked if they can be keyed the same and he said it's a $40 upcharge....If I order a set i can swap the lock out on my own, already have a keyed bed cover, I don't wanna carry 2 more keys.. free shipping and no tax helps, tax here would be about $33.

The important thing is if they fit your needs.

I was VERY hesitant on getting them because I didn't want to lose an inch of bed space.

Kate surprised me with one for my birthday and then I found it pretty handy and got the second one.

Both are full of crap that I'll probably never use (except the US Jack and ratchet straps).

I like them and have taken them out 3 times for bigger loads. They are both a mofo for me to remove with my dumpy shoulders - but they do come out and go back on pretty easily.
