You can also use this to protect wiring. It isn't cheap, and it isn't fun to install, but I've heard it works to keep the little assholes from chewing harnesses.

They'll chew aluminum tape? I'll keep an eye on it.
They chew everything/anything...like the wiring we're all trying to protect? lol

Better to screw the screen on, IMO...

Looks like the active ingredient is capsaicin in Honda tape. The big advantage is that it's made into the tape and, presumably, won't wear or wash off.

LOL, when I spray mine, it'll smell like your riding in a tube of toothpaste or an Atomic Fire Ball or a Spicy Burrito, depending on the spray of that day! =D

Maybe @DukeCanBuildit can shed some insight on how he's going to use Doktor Doom.
@shovelhd - after I cleaned my engine bay, I wiped everything down and let it dry and then sprayed down everything with the Doktor Doom solution, which is likely water and Denatonium Benzoate. Just a liberal misting on everything, including the hood liner, which was also chewed to pieces when my wiring harness was decimated. No wiping, I just closed the hood and let it dry. I checked a day or so later and it looked like I had detailed my engine bay - spotless and shiny new looking. ?

Living in the woods now I'm probably going to have to do this. Those are before and after pics of your engine bay just from spraying this stuff on there? I guess there is hope for my dirty engine after all. ?

No, I had the typical dusty engine bay - not super dusty like in AZ or some of the pictures on the forum. ? After I cleaned my engine bay, I wiped everything down with a microfibre cloth drenched in 303 Protectant ? ? ❤, let it do its magic, then sprayed the Doktor Doom - that other pic is just to show the rodent damage, but yeah, it’s a bit dusty.

? That cost money. lol Wouldn't pre-treating it here and spraying it down with a hose do the same? ?
