Thanks Buddy! It was the big 60 which when you're younger you never think will come so fast. o_O Luckily I'm still very healthy (no meds at all) and keep fairly active. Enjoy life while you can because it goes fast!

Dang no meds that’s impressive, most of the people I know are on some sort of medication or another and a good portion of them are younger than I am..(but I am in a questionable location as far as quality health care.)? my doctor keeps trying to prescribe me painkillers and convince me that riding little motorcycles through a forest (hard enduro) is a quick way for a middle aged man to kill himself (he might be right about the dirtbike riding ?. Taking pain meds is the last thing on my list of how to stay healthy.).. I’ll be riding till i can’t get up.. I still got 21 years till I hit 60.
Sounds like your really took care of yourself to be in such good health.

Oh I didn't always take care of myself. lol I was young and dumb for many years but luckily I have good genes from my moms side. I (we) try to do everything holistically when possible. Your body (in most cases) has a way of healing itself and when you listen to all the side effects of these pharmaceuticals its down right scary! It seems like many Drs now just want to write you a script instead of helping treat your condition. Just look at the opioid addiction we have in this country.

Happy 60th Dave! Your best years are ahead of you!
Thanks brother! I sure hope so. lol I do have longevity in my family (grandparents on both sides were well into their 90's) but as we all know life can change in an instant. Always try and live life to the fullest because tomorrow is never guaranteed.

Tony’s right, the best years are ahead of you, especially once you retire and if you make the best of it. I only have three years on you and I‘ve only been retired for less than two years but it’s pretty darn good when I look ahead. I know you’ll stay active and enjoy it to its fullest. Just one more year of relocation anxiety and then it’s nothing but seven Saturdays a week of hiking, BBQs, and Happy Hours.

And, yeah, you’re so right about it going fast!

Yes life is what you make of it and while things are crazy expensive now you don't have to spend a lot Mohave fun. I've been semi retired for the last 9 years and contemplating fully retiring now. It is pretty darn good even now! ?

The last job I did was back in early May before we left AZ for a good customer of mines BIL. A few people here have my card so I'll see what happens in the next month or two. Let's just say I'm not going out of my way looking for it anymore. lol Honestly the more I think about going back to work the more anxiety I get. Oh, and I'm getting lazy too! ?

Happy Belated Birthday, Dave!

Mine is coming up in a few weeks - I've got a year on you, but hopefully next spring I will be joining the "everyday is Saturday" crowd....

Thread drift - I didn't do anything with the Ranger today, but I did take the '73 Capri to an All Ford show and won second place (full disclosure - there were only 2 import Fords - so I came in last - but the other was very cool - a small English Panel van with a v8 in it - really well done). Great day with friends and a bunch of cool cars.

Thanks Rob! I know you're counting down the months, days and minutes now. It'll go quickly! Before you know it you'll wonder how you found time to work with all the things you find to do with 7 Saturdays in the week. ?

My apple trees seemed to love this spring & summer and I now have a lot of apples hanging in the tree. Too bad they're tiny ones due to very little rain in here. Yesterday I crushed a batch and pressed them to juice and though that there must be an easier way.

Therefore today I took my Ranger and drove to local electronics store and bought a slow juicer.

When I came back I set the juicer up, stepped out from the house, collected a 5 liter bucket of apples, plugged the seeds out and tried it out. Sure enough, in less than 20 mins I got ~2 liters of apple juice without any mess.

Seems to be bit easier just to store the apples and make the juice every few days instead of crushing, pressing, boiling & storing.
