My '22 Ranger has the Auto Start/Stop deleted, per the window sticker and absence of the button.
I have seen that the availability of the "delete" option of this "feature" was due to the "chip shortage".
This is very general, I suspect that there is more to this than the "chip shortage" explanation.
Was a module deleted? (wouldn't this be part of the power train controller?)
Starter changed to a more standard type vs. a special "start-stop" one?
Battery downgrade?
I don't have the wiring diagrams or service manuals for the Ranger (maybe I'll get them eventually), there might be some hints there if anyone has these.
Anyone have a definitive answer? All I can find online is the "chip shortage".
